Trapped in a Low-Traffic Rut? Here's My Success Story

Hey Reader!

I’m filled with disbelief as I see my hard work and determination finally paying off! πŸŽ‰

My blog is growing rapidly, and because of that, I officially launched my MediaVine ads on August 31.

If you haven’t heard of MediaVine, it’s a comprehensive advertising management platform designed for bloggers. It provides tools to help content creators like myself generate income from their online content, mainly through display advertising.

The application process for MediaVine is rigorous, and one of the biggest hurdles is reaching 50,000 monthly sessions on your blog.

After submitting my application, it took almost 30 days for me to see display ads on my website.

Finally, on August 31, I witnessed the fruits of my labor, even if my first payment was only going to be $9.85 (not bad for having ads less than 24 hours during that payment period).

So how did I get here? My blog was dormant for years because I lacked direction in my writing.

In 2020, I completely rebranded the site and changed its domain name. I started sharing occasional tips on Pinterest, Instagram, and blogging. It felt like an uphill battle against bigger websites with years of experience in social media tips.

Then, in 2021, I seized the opportunity and invested in RankIQ, a game-changing keyword research tool that helped me plan valuable content.

By October 2022, one of my blog posts about Canva started going viral, and I was hooked. I also invested in Jasper AI to speed up the writing process.

From January to August 2023, I dedicated myself to SEO research and published over 100 articles on my website. I focused on low-competition keywords that had substantial traffic potential.

To summarize my strategy:

  • Identify topics with low-competition keywords on Google and Pinterest.
  • Create multiple blog posts centered around a specific topic (known as a topic cluster).
  • Include 5 to 10 graphics in each blog post.
  • Internally link your blog posts throughout your site.

Happy blogging!
